The Closing Letter

The following is an example of how you might word your closing letter:

Example One:

Hello to my dear friends. As promised, here is the conclusion letter of ‘The Twelve Prayers of Christmas’ promise I made to you. Something important happened to me this Christmas when I prayed for you. I believed that through this act of prayer, that I would be blessing you. Instead, I was blessed and more importantly, humbled. You see, daily, I committed myself to pray.

After receiving feedback from several of you, I found that many of you actually felt the prayers and knew that God had ordained me to pray. Some of you were unsure, either feeling that your circumstances had not changed or indifferent to the fact that someone was praying on your behalf. The good news that I received while praying lifted me up; the times when my prayers were lacking and I was tired humbled me. I really believed that I could keep up the stamina of praying non-stop and fasting. I found that my flesh was weak and that my feeble self broke down fast.

Though daily I prayed and kept my commitment, I regret to say that it was not always with the zeal and fervor that I had desired it would be. I learned that God still has so much to teach me and that I must rely on Him more for strength. I do believe, despite my humanity, that God is faithful to keep His promises. I strongly believe that I was called to this act of prayer and that God will honor these prayers as they were offered up to Him in a spirit of faith and commitment. Always remember, “… He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6.

Example Two:

My friend...I want you to know that I did what I said I was going to do. I prayed for you each day from December 14th to the 25th. God spoke to my heart about your son. When I started my prayers I focused on you but He had me pray not only for you but for your son. I'm not sure exactly why he had me lift him up but I was drawn by His Spirit to do so.

I prayed for your health and for your relationship with the Lord. I will continue to pray for you and your son.

I hope the Lord has blessed you this Christmas season and I pray he protect and keep you.
