How Far Is It To Bethlehem?
How far is it to Bethlehem
Where the Christ Child lay;
The Infant King by prophet told,
Upon a bed of hay?
How far is it to Bethlehem
Where angels did proclaim
Their message of Goodwill to men
And glory to His name?
The shepherds went to Bethlehem
Inside the lowly shed
Beholding Christ the Savior
Upon his manger bed.
How far is it to Bethlehem
Where once the bright star shone
That led the Wise Men from afar
To view the manger throne?
How far is it to Bethlehem?
Open your heart's door wide;
Let it become a Bethlehem;
Let Christ be born inside.
